The Cleveland Browns have been plagued by injuries this season, with their injured reserve list filling up quickly. However, there is some good news on the horizon as Head Coach Kevin Stefanski confirmed on Monday that star running back Nick Chubb would be returning to practice on Wednesday.
In addition to Chubb, the Browns have a number of other players who are eligible to return soon, including two others who were placed on lists before the season even began. The team is in a bit of a predicament, though, as they can only bring back a total of eight players from IR throughout the regular season, with two more eligible for a playoff return.
Unfortunately, the Browns’ injured reserve list also includes three players who are out for the season. After Week 1, four players were placed on IR with hopes of returning after Week 5. Rookie cornerback Myles Harden joined the list after Week 2 and is eligible to return after Week 6, while Wyatt Teller will have to wait until after Week 7.
Despite all the injuries, the Browns could see some key players returning soon. David Njoku, Jedrick Wills, Jack Conklin, and Pierre Strong are all recovering from injuries suffered in Week 4 and may be back in action sooner rather than later. As the team navigates through this challenging time, the return of these players could provide a much-needed boost on the field.
