Despite some tough resistance from the Washington defense, Kyler Murray connected with rookie receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. for a touchdown, putting the Cardinals up 7-0 after a 9-play, 55-yard drive.
The Commanders, however, were not to be outdone. On their second possession, they found themselves facing a crucial 3rd & 1 at the Arizona 40-yard line. With a 3-tight end set, Robinson punched it in for a touchdown, knotting the score at 7-7 after a 9-play, 70-yard drive.
As the game progressed, the back-and-forth action continued. Arizona took over at their own 30-yard line for their second offensive series of the game, but were ultimately forced to punt after three plays. The Commanders’ defense held strong, giving them another chance on offense from their own 7-yard line.

With the start of the second quarter, the Commanders faced a crucial 3rd & 2 at their own 37-yard line. Once again, Daniels came through in the clutch, finding McLaurin for a 5-yard gain and a fresh set of downs near midfield.
